Tal Mashiach is a GRAMMY®-nominated multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer based in Brooklyn, New York, equally at home on nylon-string and seven-string guitar and the double bass.

For more than a decade he has played with Anat Cohen’s Quartetinho and Tentet, including the GRAMMY®-nominated Triple Helix. He has performed and recorded with Mulatu Astatke, Omer Avital, Shai Maestro, Avishai Cohen, Paquito D’Rivera and Ravi Coltrane, at venues including Carnegie Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, Lincoln Center, Blue Note New York, SFJAZZ and the Newport, Monterey and Umbria jazz festivals. He co-leads the GTO Trio with pianist Gadi Lehavi and drummer Ofri Nehemya, and leads the TM Street Band.

His debut album Tiyul (Anzic Records, 2022) is an intimate set of original music for classical guitar. Who’s Around? (Anzic Records, 2026) gathers sixteen musicians, including Anat Cohen, Gadi Lehavi, Ofri Nehemya and Panagiotis Andreou, moving between jazz, Greek, Georgian, Brazilian and flamenco traditions. It was a DownBeat Editors’ Pick and a FIP Album of the Week; The Guardian praised his “songlike composing skill.”
